In Ireland the is a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). The NFQ consists of 10 levels and all learning achievements may be measured through the framework.
NARIC Ireland: Recognise international qualifications within the Irish National Frame Work of Qualifications. If you have a qualification from another country, they will ‘translate it’ to the Irish Framework.
Levels 5 and 6 QQI Major Award Courses
What Are they: Level 5 and 6 QQI course is usually a full-time for one to two years. They are held in community education centres, schools and colleges. They are normally career focused.
How to qualify: You need to have your work permit (permission to work in Ireland). You will need to meet the language requirements and other requirements outlined by the course coordinator. Talk to the course coordinator directly to see if you qualify.
Where to look for level 5 and 6 courses: Search The Further Education & Training Hub
Costs: If you are participating in a publicly funded course as an asylum seeker with a work permit you do not need to pay fees.
Levels 7 to 10 QQI Courses
You can attend apply to Universities, Technical Institutes and colleges while seeking asylum in Ireland.
Costs: As an asylum seeker you will be charged International Student Fees, which are normally around €9,000 per year.
Scholarships & Grants:
Sanctuary Scholarships: Some higher-level education institutions offer a small number of Sanctuary Scholarships for asylum seekers that cover the cost of fees and normally provide a stipend.

The Student Grant Scheme for Asylum Seekers: If you have been in the process of seeking International Protection for 3 years, and have been accepted to undergraduate program through the Central Applications Office, you can apply to The Student Grant Scheme for Asylum Seekers.
How to Apply: whether you intend to pay International Student Fees or apply for a scholarship, speak directly to the administration’s office about how you should apply.
